Guenther Builders Takes the Howe Trophy

It was Championship night Sunday in the Ann Arbor Golden Masters League, and the Howe Division crowned Guenther Builders as the champion with a 4-2 win over Pucks by Butch.  Mark Rosen led the attack with a goal in each of the three periods, including the eventual game winner with only 11 seconds left in the 2nd period.  Bob Jones scored the other goal for Guenther, and assists on the night went to Doug Cole (2), along with Dwayne Reeve and Mike Parsons.

Pucks by Butch goals came from Mike Dickie and Norm Klein, and assists came from  Paul Losey, Jeff Hagan, and Klein. 

Goaltending was sharp at both ends of the ice, with Pat Kurth leading Guenther to victory,  and Rex Clark playing well in defeat.

Pucks By Butch with a Shootout Victory, Earns Trip to Finals

Pucks by Butch needed a shootout to overcome the playoff favorite Dapco in a Howe division semi-final game Sunday night.  Jeff Hagan scored in the shootout.  Pucks by Butch will face Guenther Builders in the Championship game on May 23rd.  Guenther beat McLaren Wealth 3-1 in the other Semi-Final game to earn their spot in the Championship game.
